Why Insurance ?

| Medical insurance scheme
provided by SCHC along with NIC is the first of its kind. It has
been introduced by the Symbiosis society with the benevolent intent
of students/staff health care in mind. |

Why Insurance ? |
- A student especially, a new comer to the city does not know whom
to seek medical assistance. He/she needs guidance as to where he/she
can get proper medical care and at a reasonable cost without getting
cheated.
- The student does not know the legal formalities to be fulfilled
in case of road traffic accidents e.g. making a panchanama report
etc.
- The hospital which he approaches insists on a cash deposit prior
to admission & completion of police formalities.
- The student, faced with a medical emergency and his friends are
then in a difficult situation; they don’t have proper medical
guidance nor the required funds to take care of the hospital deposit
or medical bills.
- Even existing Insurance Company does not provide any financial
support at such a critical time.
- So valuable time is lost with the possibility of the student’s
medical condition deteriorating & so his chances of recovery and
improvement may be adversely affected.
