SCHC has been conducting a Mid Day Meal
Programme since June 2001.
All the students of Symbiosis School (Nursery , Primary) and Std. 1st to 10th are served hot , nutritious mid day meal, daily.

 The recipes are designed by a qualified nutritionist , keeping in the mind the specific requirements and age of the students population.The
food will be cooked in our own hygienic kitchen premises.
The menu is
changed frequently to avoid monotony.
All the food handlers are certified by the SCHC and immunized against typhoid, Amoebic and worm infestations etc.

The SCHC provides preventive,
proactive and curative health care services to the staff
and students of Symbiosis. Today’s woman is a multifaceted
personality. Never in the past , had she to adjust as much as
today, to her diverse and ever changing roles as a house wife ,
mother, working woman etc. To fulfill these demanding roles, the
women, as the nucleus of the family has to ensure a state of well
being, first for herself, before she can translate their benefits
to the obvious advantage of her family members or Workplace. The
SCHC organizes a workshop on “Well
Women’s Clinic” and diversified the spectrum of it.
Firstly, besides addressing the health related issues, other
peripheral, yet equally important aspects which contribute to the
multifaceted personality of the woman of today are addressed. We
conducts workshops for ladies from other walks of the life e.g.
Banking Sector, insurance , police , NGOs, Govt. officials,
corporate etc.

With a view to address various aspects of adolescent,
SCHC organizes a unique workshop for adolescent girls and boys, between the age group of 11- 15 years. Like a ‘finishing school’ it develops & sharpens various skills and takes care of overall personality development of these adolescents. Training is given by a delicate and experienced faculty , in an adolescent friendly environment.
Duration :- 9 a.m. to 1.p.m.
Details :-
1st one hour is allotted to exercise and fun games.

Interactive sessions to cover topics like
1. Know your body and introduction to reproductive systems.
2. Psyche and situational analysis.
3. Language enhancement
4. Communication skills
5. Study skills
6. Computer skills and brain games.
Special features of this camp is outdoor visits and educational tours to places like National defense Academy (NDA), Poonawalla stud farm etc.
There is overwhelming response to this adolescent workshop with participants looking forward to many more such camps in coming vacations.

Interschool Health Essay Competition
As a part of school health education programme, SCHC organizes
Inter school Health Essay Competition.
This event, an annual feature basically consist of an essay competition for students from class
VI to
IX both English and Marathi medium. Main object of this unique event is to inculcate health awareness amongst these young students.
Special features of this is that, topic for the essay is
“Health & related issues” and declared extempore to the participants, half an hour prior to the commencement of the competition. The word limit is 250-300 words (VI to VII Std. ) 350-400 words (VIII and IX Std. ) and time span is 1 hour. There is no entry fees for the competition and stationery is provided by the agencies.
Essays are corrected by renowned personalities. There is a trophy of winner and runner up of each class for both the mediums. Total 8 essays are selected for meritorious performance in each class. They are awarded certificated of merit by the hand of chief guest at a price distribution ceremony.
SCHC has been privileged to have had Dr. Kiran Bedi , Mr. R.K. Laxman, Dr. Banu Koyaji. Mrs. Sai Paranjpe, and Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar as chief guest.
We had overwhelming response to this competition with every one of 900-1000 students participating from about 80 schools of the Pune city.
